What Would the Founding Fathers Think? by David Bowman

Happy Independence Day! For the 4th of July I thought it would be perfect to share with you a wonderful book written by David Bowman.
What Would the Founding Fathers Think? A young American's guide to understanding what makes our nation great and how we've strayed.

This book is a graphic novel written and illustrated by David for the young American. The book is targeted at teenagers, but even my nine-year-old daughter picked it up and was fascinated by the presidents she had studied in school, teaching her about the government.

Here's a blurb:
History, politics, government---they're not just for grown-ups anymore. Today's teens are about to be handed a collapsing nation and it'll be their job to fix it. Enter David Bowman. With wit, humor, and the occasional serious note, he skillfully illustrates America's biggest problems and presents an interactive guide to understanding them that's so much fun adults will want to read it too!

Because of the political race going on, we're presented with an opportunity to engage and learn more about our government. Although it does seem daunting at times to understand how all of the new laws and legislation have changed our government, it is vital to be involved. Starting young in educating our children about our great nation and how it came to be so great is also vital. This is an excellent book to start discussions with youth about how they can be involved and keep honoring our freedom in these United States of America.
Land of the free, home of the brave! Have a great 4th!
